Kirk Hopper Fine Arts, Sept. 5 – Oct. 3, 2015

In the summer of 2014 something was a drift in my art work.  In the midst of doing my work, I created some A-typical pieces that confounded me.  I kept them around because in a sense they scared me.  It’s been a long time since I felt that unknowing.  Would have been very easy to just keep doing what I’ve been doing for years, but being an artist means that you follow your instincts…….at least it does for me.  Even though the work seems very different than what I had been doing, it was certainly evolved out of the earlier work.
